A TikTok star, Sana Yousaf was shot and inhumanely murdered in Islamabad. The police keep on confirming that the real factor behind her murder was her repeated rejections of romantic advances made by the accused, known as Kaka.
During a press conference, Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, revealed disturbing details about the case that has shaken social media and sparked a nationwide conversation on women’s safety. According to IG Rizvi, the suspect had been harassing Sana persistently, attempting to get in touch with her multiple times—especially on May 29, her birthday.
“He tried to meet her around seven to eight times, and even visited her residence on her birthday,” said IG Rizvi. “She consistently rejected his advances, refused to talk to him, or accept any of his proposals. He was enraged by being ignored.”
The cold-blooded murder took place at around 5 PM on June 2, when Sana was shot twice. The weapon used in the crime and her iPhone—which was missing after her death—have been brought back from the suspect’s possession, ratifying his strong involvement in the crime.

A Rising Star Gone Too Soon
Sana Yousaf was a rising social media personality, and she had almost 800,000 followers on TikTok and almost half a million on Instagram. Her cheerful videos—often lip-syncing to popular languages such as

The short form videos brought joy and pleasure to a number of viewers who were interested in watching her videos.
Hours before her death, Sana had posted a video of her birthday celebration, smiling with friends, cutting a cake in a local restaurant. That joy was tragically cut short.

Police have arrested the man accused of murdering TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was shot dead at her residence in Islamabad yesterday.
According to police sources, the suspect fled to Faisalabad after committing the murder but was traced and apprehended using CCTV footage and modern technology.
He has been identified as Umar Hayat, also known as Kaka, who is reportedly a TikToker and a model himself.
At the time of the murder, Sana was home alone as her family, including her parents and siblings, were out shopping. The accused reportedly visited her home and, for reasons yet unknown, shot her twice before fleeing the scene.
Sources further revealed that the accused claimed to be a friend of the deceased.
