The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), working under the Ministry of IT and Telecom, has officially opened bookings for the much-awaited Islamabad IT Park. This high-tech facility is scheduled to be launched on August 14, 2025, symbolizing a new chapter in Pakistan’s journey toward digital transformation. 

What Makes Islamabad IT Park So Important? 

The Islamabad IT Park is not just a construction project—it’s a strategic investment in the future of Pakistan’s economy. The mission behind is to position Islamabad as a digital powerhouse in the region. 

A Modern Facility with World-Class Features 

This state-of-the-art facility spans an impressive 720,000 square feet and includes: 

• Two basements 

• A ground floor 

• Nine upper floors 

The park is designed to house over 120 IT and ITeS (IT-enabled Services) companies, catering to both established tech giants and emerging startups.

Dedicated Spaces for Startups and Incubation 

A dedicated Startup Incubation Centre will be the integral component of the park. This features 15 modern office spaces. Startups will also have the accessibility to the most vital business support services such as legal aid, financial consulting, and marketing strategy. 

Introducing the Industry-Academia Linkage Centre 

The IT park will add an industry-academia linkage centre to tackle the skill development challenge that our country is facing for a long time. This space will help bridge the gap between universities and businesses, allowing students to gain real-world exposure while companies benefit from young talent. 

Pakistan’s First Tier III Data Centre 

One of the most striking features is Pakistan’s first Tier III Data Centre. It is built to meet global standards, this facility is likely to offer high-level data protection, uptime, and operational reliability, making it highly appealing for international investors and clients. 

Location and Future Expansion Plans 

It is located in Islamabad, the IT park is anticipated to draw digital foreign direct investment. A similar project is already being planned near Karachi Airport, extending the benefits of this initiative across the country.
