The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has unveiled a redesigned Pakistani passport featuring new security enhancements and identity details. The move is intended to strengthen the integrity and acceptability of the document worldwide while making it more demanding and technologically advanced.

The DGIP has also given the visa pages a visual makeover. The new booklets will feature images of iconic landmarks from different provinces, showcasing the rich cultural and historical heritage of the country. From majestic forts and mosques to breathtaking natural landscapes, each page will now carry a piece of Pakistan’s identity — turning every passport into a subtle ambassador of the nation’s beauty.
Security and Modernization at the Core
As per DGIP officials, the redesign follows the principles of “modernity and harmonisation.” While the overall layout of the passport remains unchanged, the new design incorporates improved anti-forgery features to prevent misuse and tampering. Officials confirmed that printing of the new passports has already begun after receiving clearance from the Ministry of Interior.
