She instructed authorities to lease modern and efficient aircraft for the airline’s debut, ensuring a smooth and pleasant travel experience for passengers.
In its initial phase, Air Punjab’s first route will operate between Lahore and Islamabad, connecting two of Punjab’s busiest cities. The project is intended to make air travel more accessible within the province while also supporting regional economic activity and tourism.
Reviewing the Murree Glass Train Project, the chief minister called for practical and timely measures to accelerate its progress. She keeps on saying that the project would become a landmark tourism attraction, enhancing Murree’s appeal for both domestic and international visitors.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz had introduced Air Punjab as part of her government’s broader vision to modernize Punjab’s transport network — providing citizens with safe, reliable, and affordable travel options while fostering provincial connectivity.
Airlift Drone for Flood Rescue
The Punjab government has revealed first airlift drone of Pakistan, a cutting-edge innovation designed for rescue operations in flood-affected areas. The drone can carry a person weighing up to 200 kilograms and transport them safely to secure locations.
Following successful test flights in Lahore, it has been dispatched to Multan for deployment. The government also making plans to procure 10 additional drones to improve emergency response efforts across Punjab.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari praised CM Maryam’s leadership, saying her government’s performance is “visible to all” through transparent updates shared on social media.
