Over 2,000 youths have completed training in diverse fields under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Youth Employment Program. The fields blanketed artificial intelligence, game development, cloud computing, animation, and web development.
As per a recent release, 180 young individuals successfully completed internships through the provincial Digital Internship Program, subsequently being integrated into various IT firms and the Information Technology Board. A certificate distribution ceremony took place right here at the chief minister’s residence in Peshawar, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s leading Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur present as the chief guest.
The event was also attended by provincial cabinet individuals Meena Khan Afridi and Shafqat Ayaz, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary ST&IT Amjad Ali Khan, other officials of the information technology department, and students.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Gandapur said that providing employment opportunities to youth was one of the core responsibilities of any government. “While it is not viable for the government to provide public sector jobs to everyone, however, it can at least create possibilities in the private area.”

He emphasized that the current technology was dominated by information technology and offered countless employment opportunities. “Since day one, my government has been running under a comprehensive approach to equip the youth with modern digital talents, with the sole reason of training them according to the demands of the task market. Those young people are becoming a vital part of the province’s digital staff and are playing a powerful function in promoting the digital economy.”
He further stated that with digital abilities, youth can work online with clients and groups from any country while staying at home. The authorities are investing in youngsters to make them self-reliant and a real asset to the country they brought up.
Mr. Gandapur also announced that the under-construction digital city challenge in Haripur would be completed within this year. He delivered the government’s promise to also provide modern education in other sectors to create employment opportunities for young people.
He urged youth to avail themselves of most of those opportunities, not only to earn a livelihood but also to contribute to strengthening the province’s economy.
