In an encouraging opportunity for Pakistani students, the Government of Russia has announced fully funded scholarships for those wishing to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees at some of Russia’s leading universities.
The scholarship aims to strengthen educational and cultural ties between the two nations while providing Pakistani students with access to world-class education.
Under this prestigious program, students will receive full tuition coverage and a monthly stipend to help meet their academic and living costs in Russia. However, applicants should note that travel expenses and daily living costs will not be covered under the scholarship.
The last date for the application is January 15, 2026, and all submissions need to be made via the official online portal: www.education-in-russia.com. In Pakistan, the Russian Center for Science and Culture (Russian House) in Karachi serves as the authorized nomination body for processing and verifying student applications.

To apply, candidates must:
• Hold Pakistani nationality
• Apply for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program
• Meet the academic qualifications for the chosen level of study

Application Process
Applicants must first register on the official portal, create an account, and fill in their personal details. After registration, students are capable of selecting six Russian universities and one field of study. Once submitted, these choices cannot be altered, so applicants are highly encouraged to select carefully.

Master’s and PhD applicants must also provide previous degree transcripts, while PhD candidates need to submit research papers, publications, and a recommendation letter from a Russian university.
Selection and Next Steps
After submission, candidates will go through a qualification review based on academic merit and achievements. For creative fields, an additional skills or creative test may be needed.
Shortlisted students must later provide medical certificates, including proof of fitness and the absence of infectious diseases for example HIV and hepatitis. All documents must be translated into Russian and attested by the Russian consulate.
