Who Can Apply?

• Be between 18–40 years old (as of August 25, 2025)
• Hold citizenship from an OECD/DAC listed developing country (Pakistan included; China excluded)
• Be a current student or graduate
• Reside outside Japan at the time of application
• Be able to communicate in English or Japanese (JLPT N3 or higher is a plus)
• Not have participated in the JIP between FY2016–FY2024
