In an encouraging step to celebrate academic excellence, the Government of Pakistan has announced an official student visit to Türkiye for the toppers of matriculation exams from all educational boards across the country.

The initiative was revealed through a circular by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), aims to reward high-achieving students while promoting cultural exchange and international exposure.

The program is being organized by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in collaboration with the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports. Students will travel on official passports and represent Pakistan as young ambassadors during their trip.

Preparing the Students

To ensure smooth arrangements, the IBCC has outlined clear requirements for all selected students. Each participant must provide:

• A medical fitness certificate issued by a government hospital.

• Parental or guardian consent in writing, allowing their child to join the visit.

• Two sets of white shalwar kameez suits with shoes, while a green blazer will be provided by the ministry.

For uniformity and ease of travel, students will be allowed to carry only one shoulder bag, with restrictions placed on laptops and cameras. Additionally, the contact details of parents or guardians must be submitted in advance to ensure communication and coordination.

Logistical Arrangements

The circular further mentioned that pick-and-drop services for the students will be arranged by their respective boards, with expenses borne at the local level. This keeps on ensuring that participants can travel safely and without financial burden on their families.

The deadline for submitting documents, including passports and other required papers, is September 19, 2025. All BISE chairpersons have been given instructions to oversee the process carefully and provide full guidance to students and their families.

First international exposure to students

The initiative has been widely accepted as a meaningful way of recognizing merit and hard work. For many students, this trip will be their first international exposure, giving them a chance to promote interaction with Turkish students, experience a new culture, and return with fresh perspectives.

Parents and teachers have a strong belief that such opportunities not only motivate students to excel academically but also nurture confidence, broaden horizon, and foster lasting friendships across borders.
