Saudi Arabia’s budget airline, flyadeal, is rapidly expanding its footprint in Pakistan, with Lahore becoming its latest destination. Starting October 27, the carrier will start twice-weekly flights between Riyadh and Lahore, further deepening its presence in South Asia.

This new route marks flyadeal’s fifth Pakistani destination in just three months, a pace that depicts how aggressively the airline is tapping into the region’s travel demand.

The airline, which is a low-cost subsidiary of the national carrier Saudia, began operations in Pakistan in August. Its first flight was to Karachi, followed soon after by Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot.

With Lahore now on the list, flyadeal will be operating 18 flights per week between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway described the airline’s rapid expansion as “a fabulous few months,” highlighting how quickly the new routes have taken shape. He kept on saying that the Lahore launch was moved up on the schedule because of “strong market demand” and the availability of aircraft.

He also kept on emphasizing that the new route would prove to be beneficial for the 2.7 million Pakistanis living and working in Saudi Arabia.

All flights on Pakistani routes will be flown using the Airbus A320, a popular single-aisle jet configured with 186 all-economy seats. The airline is intended to balance affordability with frequency, making travel more accessible for both expatriate workers and visiting families.

Flyadeal’s growing presence in Pakistan is showing close alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, which places strong emphasis on regional connectivity, tourism growth, and economic diversification. Since its founding in 2017, the airline has grown quickly and now operates a fleet of 42 aircraft serving over 30 destinations across the

By targeting high-demand routes and underserved travel corridors, flyadeal is positioning itself as a key player in budget aviation between Pakistan and the Gulf.

For many travelers—especially overseas workers—the new Lahore connection offers a timely, affordable travel option with direct access to the Saudi capital.
