The Punjab government has announced one of the best plans to develop economic zones, a medical city, a tourism corridor, and a wholesale market along both sides of the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR).

The initiative is considered to be an integral component of a comprehensive strategy to transform Rawalpindi into a modern, economically vibrant, and well-planned urban hub.

As per the proposal, 500 meters on each side of the Ring Road will be allocated for major development projects, including

The major aim behind this large-scale development is to decongest the city, attract investment, and create thousands of new jobs across multiple sectors.
