Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for the urgent creation of an Arab-Islamic task force to counter Israel’s expansionist agenda and hold it accountable for what he explained as “war crimes against humanity.”
His remarks came during the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, where leaders gathered to make discussion upon the worsening situation in Gaza and broader Middle East instability.
Addressing the summit, the Prime Minister kept on emphasizing that Israel’s actions were a blatant violation of international law.
PM also urged the United Nations Security Council to move under Chapter VII of the UN Charter to enforce an immediate and unconditional ceasefire. This, he said, must also include the release of hostages, exchange of Palestinian prisoners, and provision of humanitarian services without any interruption for the people in need.
He underlined that aid workers, medical teams, journalists, and UN personnel should be guaranteed full protection while carrying out their duties.
Shehbaz Sharif also reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding support for a just and comprehensive two-state solution, with the establishment of an independent State of Palestine on pre-1967 borders, and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its rightful capital.

Condemning Israeli Attack on Qatar
The Prime Minister strongly condemned what he described as Israel’s “reckless and provocative attack” on Doha, calling it an attempt to sabotage ongoing peace efforts. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar, appreciating its diplomatic role in bridging divides and pushing for regional stability.
He warned that Israel’s military aggression had reduced Gaza to “rubble,” with more than 64,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children, martyred. “This injustice has reached an unbearable level and must stop now,” he declared.
Meeting with Saudi Crown Prince
Besides the summit, Shehbaz Sharif encountered with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to shed a light on the rapidly deteriorating regional situation. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir were both there to attend the meeting.
Shehbaz praised the Strong role of Saudia Arabia in uniting the Muslim world during this critical juncture, and assured Pakistan’s full support at the United Nations Security Council and within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The Saudi Crown Prince, in turn, showed appreciation for Pakistan’s active diplomacy and looked forward to Sharif’s upcoming state visit to Riyadh for a comprehensive dialogue on bilateral and global issues.
