The Lahore Parking Company has announced plans to roll out an automated parking system at 10 additional sites across the city. This step is taken to give a modern look to urban infrastructure. This move comes after successful pilot projects at Liberty Market and Barkat Market, where automation has improved efficiency and transparency.
Goodbye to Paper Slips
The company plans to abolish the old manual slip system entirely at these new locations. Instead, parking staff will use handheld devices that instantly issue thermal-printed tickets, reducing the risk of errors and fraud.
To support this upgrade, 100 new thermal printers will be purchased and installed at key sites, including:
• Children’s Hospital
• Main Market Gulberg
• Hall Road
• Bhandara Center
• Mall Road
• Nila Gumbad
• Johar Town
• Iqbal Town
• Model Town
• Empress Market
These busy locations are often crowded and chaotic, making them prime targets for technology-driven improvements.

Centralized Monitoring for Better Oversight
All automated parking sites will be linked to a central dashboard that permits real-time monitoring of operations. This means the Lahore Parking Company will be capable of
- Track occupancy
- Revenues
- Staff performance instantly, helping reduce leakages and ensuring accountability
Parking attendants will be trained to use the new devices, and the system is designed to be user-friendly for both staff and drivers. A tender will be floated soon to procure the needed equipment and guarantee timely execution.
Benefits for Drivers and City Management
Company officials keep on saying that the switch to automation will increase transparency, reduce manual errors, and boost revenue collection, which is imperative
- For maintaining
- Improving city infrastructure
For drivers, this step guarantees shorter waiting times and fewer disputes over lost or misprinted slips. It’s also considered to be a step toward bringing Lahore in line with other modern cities that use tech-enabled parking solutions.
Residents and business owners who are living in these areas have cautiously welcomed the declaration, hoping it will make parking extremely smoother and reduce traffic jams around busy markets.
The Lahore Parking organization claims this is just the beginning, with plans to eventually automate parking across the whole city, creating a more organized and efficient urban experience for everyone.
