The Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025 turned into a glimpse of the country’s automotive future, and right at the centre of that spotlight was GWM Pakistan. With the largest New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup at the event, GWM didn’t just participate – it made a statement about where mobility in Pakistan is headed.

On display were four head-turning models:

• Haval H6 PHEV

• Haval Jolion HEV

• Cannon Alpha PHEV

• Tank 500 HEV

Each one underlined GWM’s focus on electrification, efficiency, and intelligent driving, but it was the Haval H6 PHEV that truly stole the show.

Haval H6 PHEV – The Star of the Show

The H6 PHEV test drive quickly became one of the most crowded attractions at PAPS 2025. Visitors lined up not just to sit in the SUV, but to actually feel what GWM’s Hi-4 intelligent system could do on the road.

This advanced system seamlessly switches between electric and fuel modes, automatically adapting to different terrains and driving conditions. Whether it was simulated city driving or more demanding tracks, the H6 clearly displayed how intelligence and power can work together, rather than as trade-offs.

When attendees saw it go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, the reaction was instant – surprise, excitement, and a flood of social media videos. That performance earned it the informal crown of Pakistan’s fastest SUV, a title that resonated strongly with younger car enthusiasts.

Power, Range, and Practicality

Beyond speed, the numbers on efficiency and range impressed families, professionals, and daily commuters alike:

• Combined driving range: up to 1,043 km (NEDC)

• Pure electric range: around 100 km, enough for most daily commutes without using fuel

• Fast charging: from 30% to 80% in about 28 minutes, ideal for quick top-ups during a shopping trip or coffee break

For many visitors, this was a first real encounter with a vehicle that could manage daily city life fully on EV mode, yet still offer the security of a petrol engine for long trips.

A New Standard for Intelligent Mobility in Pakistan

GWM’s Hi-4 technology showed how modern hybrids can:

• Optimize power distribution for better traction and stability

• Offer smoother handling on both urban roads and rougher routes

• Build driver confidence with smart, responsive systems

At PAPS 2025, GWM Pakistan did more than line up shiny vehicles on a stand. It has introduced a vision of intelligent mobility where:

• Performance doesn’t sacrifice efficiency

• Sustainability becomes practical, not just a slogan

• Pakistani drivers get access to global-level tech tailored to local needs

With the Haval H6 PHEV leading the charge, backed by the Jolion HEV, Cannon Alpha PHEV and Tank 500 HEV, GWM is clearly positioning itself as a front-runner in Pakistan’s new energy vehicle transition – and PAPS 2025 was its big, confident step into that future.
