Govt launches free 3-6 month professional courses for children of overseas Pakistanis

In a major step toward empowering the youth and enhancing employability, the Government of Pakistan has rolled out a special program of free professional training courses under the Prime Minister’s Special Initiative.

The project is being carried out in collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF). 

The initiative is especially designed for the children of overseas Pakistanis, though adults from across the country are also welcome to join. Officials keep on saying the program depicts the government’s commitment to equipping Pakistan’s youth with modern skills that match both domestic and international job markets. 

Wide Range of Modern Courses 

The training programs, spanning three to six months, cover a diverse set of in-demand fields. Participants will be able to choose from courses in: 

• Digital Marketing 

• Cybersecurity 

• Artificial Intelligence 

• Web Development 

• Electrician Training 

• Welding 

By including both digital-era skills and hands-on technical trades, the government is hoping to give young Pakistanis multiple pathways to success—whether in  

  • IT 
  • Freelancing 
  • Traditional industries

Eligibility and Age Bracket 

Applicants must have completed at least matriculation (Grade 10) or higher to qualify for admission. The program is open to people having aged between 18 to 40 years, ensuring opportunities for both  

  • Fresh school graduates 
  • Mid-career individuals looking for learning new skills or switch professions

Officials emphasize that this mix allows both youth and adults to benefit from government-supported skill development, which can improve job readiness at home and abroad. 

Application Process 

The last date to apply is 30 September 2025, and demand is expected to be very high. Interested candidates can register online through the official portal: nsis.navttc.gov.pk. Authorities have advised applicants to apply early since seats are limited.
